Abstract My claim in this article is that the thesis Buddhism has no God, insofar as it taken to apply universally, false. I defend by interpreting a central text East-Asian – The Awakening of Faith Mahāyāna through lenses perfect being theology (PBT), research programme philosophy religion attempts provide description God two-step process: (1) defining terms maximal greatness; (2) inferring properties or attributes must have virtue satisfying definition. argument comprises two steps.
